A Very Intensive 5-day workshop!
Using live models and everyday objects, participants will explore unique approaches to drawing and painting from life. We will be drawing at easels and printing with an etching press to create trace monotypes, counterproofs, and mixed media drawings with charcoal, ink, and pastel.
The goal is to focus on capturing the mood and spirit of our subjects, to combine imagery, and to integrate backgrounds with the subjects. This class is designed to help you build new drawing skills, expand your artistic vocabulary, and open up a whole new world of possibilities about how to express yourself using the figure and everyday objects as your inspiration. All of these approaches are suitable for any subject matter.
