Margaret's work has been featured many times in most of the art publications in the US: "Pure Color-The Best of Pastels"; "100 Ways to Paint People & Figures, Volumes 1 and 2"; The Pastel Journal; International Artist Magazine; Pastel Highlights 2; The Artists' Magazine; American Artist and Pastel Artist International. A native of New York, but long-time southerner, Margaret lives in Atlanta, staying close to her two grown daughters and 10-year-old grandson.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT – "At a moment in 1970, when a model dropped her robe and stood naked in front of a class of wide-eyed eighteen year old art students, I found something in life I loved – the challenge to draw the living, breathing, continuously moving landscape of the human body. What started out as a challenge quickly became a passion. Ten years later, when I happened upon an artist's dynamic pastels at a local exhibition, I knew I had discovered my medium."

Learn the traditional technique of pastel painting. Work from a live model. Drawing, anatomy, proportion, value and color will be explored. Emphasis will be on developing form using light and shadow. For those wanting to speed up and become less tight in their work, this is an excellent class to take.

There will be a demo each day followed by a morning session and an afternoon session with the model. There will be new poses each day. All model fees are included in tuition.
